Unic car logo and history

 

Unic was a French manufacturer of passenger cars and trucks renowned.

Bought in 1952 by Henri Théodore Pigozzi, then head of Simca, Unic SA will be taken over by Fiat VI in 1966 and incorporated in the Iveco group at its inception in 1975.

In 1986 the factory who manufactures hatches since 1975 Unic specific vehicles and Fiat models for the French market will be transformed into plant mechanical components - engines and transmissions - following the rejection of the participation of Iveco Unic a tender of the French army as it did not want engine (Fiat) products abroad on its trucks.
