The Ferrari F430 is a luxury sports car built and marketed by Ferrari since 2004, replacing the Ferrari 360 Modena. It is presented at the Mondial de Paris Motor Show 2004 [2], and differs from its predecessor by its V8 increased to 4.3 L by a large employment of aluminum, but also by a series of innovations from of F1.
While introducing a more dynamic than the Ferrari 360 Modena, the 430 incorporates the stylistic codes of its predecessor and the engine architecture. This meteor imposing the template and the visibility is reduced, however docile through many driving aids. Thanks to a continuously variable valve at the inlet (50 °) as the exhaust (30 °) and mounting a dual intake manifold dual mode, the new 4.3L engine already fitted Maserati ( but built to the parent and adjusted for the occasion) has a torque of 370 Nm at 3 500 rpm, a gain of 23% in power and torque by 25%, corresponding to the maximum torque of 'old 3.6L (mounted on the 360). A key engraved LC "Launch Control" located on the console allows for a fast start without regard to assay the accelerator and clutch bidisque (also called dual-clutch) driven by an electro-hydraulic system capable of exercising of torque from 2 500 Nm in just 60 milliseconds.
The large tachometer graduated to 10 000 rpm is available, optionally, with a red or yellow. The brake discs are available in ceramic Optional € 11 500, until their adoption as standard across the range of Ferrari in 2008 [3]. The manettino adjusts the degree of intervention of driving aids, the normal mode is sport. It is located in the lower right of the steering wheel.
