The 62 series is a series of cars produced by Cadillac to replace the 70 series averages in 1941. It remained in production until 1964, after being renamed Series 6200, when he was replaced by the name Cadillac Calais.

The Fisher-bodied Series 62 used a 129 in (3277 mm) wheelbase. The new Cadillac V8 OHV is great news for the year 1949, with minor trim differences otherwise. The CPU 331 in (5.4 L) engine produces 160 hp (119 kW). The main difference between series 61 and Series 62 models of similar body style was minor trim changes. The price series was higher again grooved, front fender stone shields and moldings rocker panel light. Rafters below the tail lights are no longer seen. The cabriolet is an exclusive offer, just as a new second pillarless-door "hardtop convertible" called the Coupe DeVille. A more luxurious interior has been submitted and power window lifts are standard on the coupe and convertible option with other styles.

In 1950, major styling changes were made. The cars were lower and sleeker, with longer hoods, and windshields were installed piece. The Series 61 is again a short wheelbase model, having been reduced to 122 in (3099 mm). Cutting fresh line City was soon to become a full model.

Full-length chrome rocker panels concluded the model 1951 and the Coupe de Ville was now labeled to significantly improve-Qtr. Power for the 331 engine was up to 190 hp (142 kW) for 1952.

Another familiar name appeared in 1953 the 62 series. The upscale Eldorado was a limited edition luxury convertible, and become its own model.

For 1959, the 62 series became the Series 6200. This car is known for its huge fins edged with light ball with a double tail. The DeVille became the 6300 series, but they all shared the same 130 in (3302 mm) wheelbase. Engine output was the same 325 hp (242 kW) from 390 cu in (6.4L) engine.

The 1960 6200 was smoother, more sober style. It was refurbished in 1961 with a style other more square. The Eldorado moved into the sub-6300 series DeVille. The engine has been totally redesigned for 1963, although the displacement and output remained the same.

The engine has been struck to 429 cu in (7 L) for 1964, with 340 hp (253.5 kW) available.
