The ZDX Acura's next mid-size luxury crossover SUV developed by Honda for its luxury brand Acura. The car was originally scheduled to be called the Acura MSX. [1] ZDX debuted at the 2009 New York International Auto Show on 8 April 2009.

Five teaser shots launched by Acura, between March 16 and 20, 2009, indicate a sloping roof coupe that of the BMW X6, which lead many to believe it is their direct competitor. Following the announcement on the appointment of ZDX vehicle, Acura added the words "luxury Four-Door Sports Coupe" for the title for each photo. Furthermore, it is the state as a crossover vehicle or SUV. [2]

The car is said to be a "new level of prestige for Acura." Acura has first six-speed automatic transmission, advanced ventilated seats and luxury appointments. The vehicle was also the first to be completely designed in the Acura Design Studio in California.
