Dodge Demon Roadster Concept Wallpaper 1440x900

The Dodge Demon is a concept car made by DaimlerChrysler. The devil was first shown at the 2007 Geneva Auto Show, and is being considered for production [1]. It was designed to compete with cars like the Pontiac Solstice, Saturn Sky and Mazda Miata.

The devil has a 2.4 L DOHC I4 gasoline engine with normal aspiration. The engine produces about 172 hp (128 kW) and 165 lbs ft (224 N m). The car is equipped with a standard 6-speed manual transmission.

Unlike many other concept cars, design materials and construction of the devil are such that production is feasible.

The Dodge Demon concept is a compact, nimble "roadster with an attitude, a perfect balance of classic sports car proportion and simplicity blended with modern design and performance. The vehicle will be first shown at the 77th International Motor Show in Geneva next month.

"While the icon Dodge Viper is a dream car for many, the Dodge Demon is designed to be an attainable dream car," said Jae Chung - Dodge Demon principal exterior designer of the Chrysler Group. "The exterior design is simple but bold, with an energetic combination of curves and intersecting planes."

The body of the Dodge Demon main character line flows up and over the front wheel, then drops diagonally to an angular color ventilation introduced in the rear fender that directs cooling air to the rear brakes. Similarly, the compound of the rear fender surface curves up and over the rear wheel, sweeping into a broad diagonal plane extending to the taillights. The result of muscular fender form projects boldly beyond the main body, underscoring that the Dodge Demon concept is a rear-wheel-drive machine.

The posterior surface of the body is divided into three levels with two beveled lateral planes, dominated by long, tapering trapezoidal taillamps. The taillamps sport translucent red box surrounding lens LED back-up lamps.

Up front, the signature Dodge cross grill stuffed into an aggressive, threatening the openness, trapezoidal pushing forward with courage.

Listed elongated triangles, the projector headlamps, delineated by bright rings, are put into black chrome bezels, which means the front-looking "eyes" that accentuate the grille opening. Encompassing the upper portions of the front fenders and sporting two recessed air outlets, the Dodge Demon hood is hinged at the front, adding a just-for-performance car looks fun.
