Grid Legends vs. Forza Horizon 5: Which is better?

Grid Legends doesn't have an open-world setting, but it still manages to impress.

Grid Legends vs. Forza Horizon 5: Which is better?

Grid Legends and Forza Horizon 5 are among the most popular racing games out there and they have a lot of things in common. They both have a wide variety of cars and trucks to choose from, however, grid legends have more car choices to allow for customization. Grid legends are relatively cheaper compared to Forza Horizon 5 which is roughly $60 USD compared to $100 USD.

For many gamers, the Forza Horizon series is one of the most popular racing games on the market. It plays in a similar manner to Horizon 3 and 4, but with a much more open world. Recently, however, Ubisoft revealed its upcoming title: Grid Legends. Based on the evidence thus far, one can reasonably doubt that this game has what it takes to compete against Forza Horizon 5 for supremacy in the driving genre.

At the time of this writing, the game has only been officially announced for the PC and Xbox One. Unfortunately, as it has no official announcement date just yet, there is not much to go on. However, in a recent trailer IGN released of Grid Legends, it appears that the gameplay may share some similarities with its predecessor. This can make one wonder if this is just a case of Ubisoft borrowing elements from its competitors or if Grid Legends will be able to stand on its own feet once it is released on October 24th.

If you're into racing games, then you're in luck. These two games are among the best racing sims released in recent years. But which is better? That's a question that we'll explore in this article as well as what you should know about each game before deciding to buy either of them.

The Difference Between Grid Legends and Forza Horizon 5:

1. Forza Horizon 5

Forza Horizon 5

Forza Horizon 5 is available for Xbox One and PC, and steps away from the traditional "sim on a track" approach with its open-world setting. This game allows you to drive anywhere in the game world, and with any car. The goal of the game is to progress through races, which are littered across the map, while at the same time completing objectives.

In general, this game is a lot of fun and manages to blend fun driving with open-world exploration. While the racing is not as realistic as other sims, it does a good job of creating an immersive experience for the player. It's also free to play on Xbox One and although you will be able to earn credits from races, you can earn more with real money if you wish.

2. Grid Legends

Grid Legends

Grid Legends is available for PC only (Mac and Linux versions are coming in September). It's a simulation game with some racing elements and, in addition to its open-world setting, it includes all kinds of cars.

Grid legends also have better graphics and AI on average than Forza Horizon 5. There is some Forza horizon 5 tracks that are better than grid legends tracks.

Grid legends have better handling than Forza Horizon 5 but Forza Horizon 5 has a better physics engine. On average you can expect about 60% of the fun of the game with one playing Grid Legends, however, it is up to the player to decide which is more fun.

There is a career mode that has you trying to achieve various goals (such as winning races) across the grid within which you can race all you want. You also have quick races, which are designed for speed and need little attention other than driving.

Which is better?

Forza Horizon 5

The biggest reason why Forza Horizon 5 is better than Grid Legends is that it has an open-world setting that allows you to drive anywhere. It's also a lot more fun and has a great storyline that makes you feel like racing is important, which isn't always the case in other games.

Forza also has some very realistic graphics, as well as solid controls and handling.

Grid Legends

Grid Legends doesn't have an open-world setting, but it still manages to impress. It's a fun game that offers different ways to play, and like any good simulation, it's a lot of fun. Grid Legends is also an extremely good deal on PC with the Steam sale going on right now. We recommend it!

Conclusion

In general, Grid Legends is a lot of fun and manages to offer enough variety to keep players engaged. We recommend it! However, if you're looking for a simulation game that offers the open-world setting of Forza Horizon 5, then Forza is the better choice.
